Scholarship of ₹5,000–₹6,000 per year for meritorious girl students from minority communities in Class 9–12.

About this scheme

The Begum Hazrat Mahal National Scholarship is for meritorious girl students from minority communities (Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, Parsi/Zoroastrian) studying in Class 9 to 12. The scheme is run by the Maulana Azad Education Foundation under the Ministry of Minority Affairs.

Eligibility

  • Gender: Girl student
  • Minority community: Muslim, Christian, Sikh, Buddhist, Jain, or Parsi/Zoroastrian
  • Class: Class 9, 10, 11, or 12
  • Academic score: Minimum 50% marks in previous class
  • Annual family income: Below ₹2,00,000

Benefits

  • ₹5,000 per year for Class 9 and 10 students
  • ₹6,000 per year for Class 11 and 12 students
  • Paid directly into the student's or guardian's bank account

  • Aadhaar Card
  • Community / minority certificate from competent authority
  • Income certificate (below ₹2 lakh)
  • Previous year marksheet (minimum 50%)
  • Bank account details
  • School bonafide certificate
