ONGC Scholarship Scheme

About this scheme

The ONGC Scholarship Scheme is a flagship CSR initiative of the ONGC Foundation that provides ₹48,000 per year (₹4,000 per month) to meritorious students from economically weaker sections pursuing full-time professional courses. Open to Indian citizens in their 1st year of engineering, MBA, MBBS, or other eligible UG/PG programmes, the scholarship targets SC/ST candidates with family income below ₹4.5 lakh and OBC/General/EWS candidates with income below ₹2 lakh. Selection is merit-based with a minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA requirement. The award is renewable annually on satisfactory academic performance. Applications are accepted through the online ONGC Scholar portal.

Eligibility

• Nationality: Must be an Indian citizen
• Enrollment: Must be studying in the 1st year of an eligible full-time professional course
• Academic merit: Minimum 60% marks or 6.0 CGPA in the qualifying examination
• Age limit: Age should generally be below 30 years
• Income limit (SC/ST): SC/ST candidates: Annual family income must be less than ₹4.5 lakh
• Income limit (OBC/General/EWS): OBC and General/EWS candidates: Annual family income must be less than ₹2 lakh
