OP Jindal Engineering & Management Scholarship (OPJEMS)

About this scheme

The OPJEMS is a merit-based scholarship started by the O.P. Jindal Group in 2007 to recognize outstanding students from selected premier engineering and management institutions in India. Around 100 students are awarded every year.

Eligibility

• Category: Open to General/Merit, BC/MBC, SC/ST, OBC, EWS, and Minority categories
• Institution: Must belong to a participating institute such as IITs, NITs, BITS Pilani, and other select premier institutions
• Course (Engineering): Must be studying Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, or Metallurgical Engineering at a participating institute
• Nomination: Generally, the top three students from each eligible branch/year are nominated by their institute
• Education level: Undergraduate (UG) or Postgraduate (PG) programmes

Benefits

• Engineering students: ₹80,000 per year
• Management students: ₹1,50,000 per year

• Passport-size photograph
• Institute ID Card
• Academic mark sheets/transcripts of previous semesters or years
• Proof of admission/enrollment in the eligible engineering or management program
• Institute nomination letter or recommendation (if applicable)(optional)
• Entrance examination scorecard/rank proof (for first-year students)(optional)
• Resume/Curriculum Vitae (CV)
• Government-issued photo ID proof (Aadhaar Card, PAN Card, etc.)
• Bank account details for scholarship disbursement
• Business proposal/project proposal in PDF format (if required during the selection process)(optional)
• Any additional documents requested by the OPJEMS portal during application submission(optional)
