About this scheme
The Special Scholarship Scheme for J&K and Ladakh (SSSJKL), commonly known as PMSSS, is a Government of India initiative. Managed by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), it provides 5,000 annual scholarships to help youth from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh pursue higher education in colleges across India.
Eligibility
- Domicile: Must be a domicile resident of the Union Territories of J&K or Ladakh
- Academic qualification: Must have passed the 10+2 examination from JKBOSE or a CBSE-affiliated school located within J&K or Ladakh
- Annual family income: Must not exceed ₹8,00,000
- Course: Must be applying for general, engineering, or medical (including BDS and equivalent) undergraduate courses

- Scholarship of ₹30,000 to up to ₹3 lakh per year

- Available for the full duration of the undergraduate course
